Van People the last post

Wednesday, December 14, 2016

We are back to regular normal life now! No more van people. Mac says we will keep the van forever so we can still say we are the van people...lol
We are currently in San Clemente California.  Mac is on the hunt for a job in advertising. So send us some positive vibes and prayers that something will come up soon. To end our road trip we decided to show up randomly surprising my family in Utah. It was so much fun seeing there reactions when we showed up! It was an amazing journey that we will remember FOREVER and I'm excited to tell our kids about it one day. I'm so thankful my good friend Celeste Neild was able to capture theses amazing photos of us with our van. Happy holidays!! xoxo the Robertson's

Celeste's website is linked below! She's an amazing photographer. Check this sister out :)

Protein shakes for breakfast. Drove to Big Bend National Park. Hiked the South Rim in the Chisos Mountains. 12 miles in 6 hours. Had pb bagels for lunch. Ate taco salad for dinner. Drove back to Fort Stockton. On the way we struck a bird. Very sad. Even more sad was the fact that he got stuck on the windshield wiper. Tried to wipe him off, but it just wouldn't go. We almost hit about 1000 mice running across the road, a coyote, a deer, etc... It's wild out there in Big Bend. Then we got stopped by the border control! They had their dog sniff around the van and he smelled something... So they made us get out of the car and gave us this big speech about how we should confess now because the dog will definitely find whatever we have in there. They said if we confess to smoking a little weed they'd turn us over to the sheriff and we'd probably just spend the night in jail, but if we didn't confess they'd bring the DEA into things and go all Pablo Escobar on us. We denied everything and the dog didnt find anything so they let us go. We got away with it! hahahaha Then we slept at Walmart.
